Very factual and detailed book about options. However, this book is way over my head in technical information. It is very hard for me to stay interested in the book only because it is so technically deep and I was looking more for a intermediate book about options trading and some basic strategy. I like Michael Khouw and watch him when possible on Options Action and like the way he describes what and why he is using options. However, his book is too technical for me but I doubt you can find a better book if you want to really, really, understand all aspects of options.
While the book can be a difficult read, it is the best book on options I've ever read, and I've read many of them. You can get a lot out of the book without paying too much attention to the technical detail, although if you're going to trade options, you'd best know the technical detail. Further, the book is more like a text book than an easy read. It needs to be studied. This book is so good in its presentation of options trading compared to every other book I've read on the subject, I think it's outstanding and should be read by anyone before they attempt to trade options. You'll more than save the price of the book and make your time studying the book worthwhile, in my opinion.
Come on, this is a 3rd level text. It reads like a graduate math text on how options are derived and how they function. Frankly, the book kept putting me to sleep in its circular explanations, assuming the reader was highly versed in the mathematical whys of options activity.I otherwise enjoy watching the author on CNBC’S “Option Action,†but if he talked liked the book reads he would soon lose audiences.
I enjoy reading about financial derivatives and this is by far one of the best books i have come across. It goes into detail on topics that are very rarely covered in other option books. The chapter on strategies for special situations is alone worth the price of the book. One way to judge quality of the content in this book is by looking at how much effort the authors have put into explaining complex topics in such a simple manner. this book should be considered an investment not a guide to get rich quick.
You can make good money by simple calls and puts. What you need is the trend ..like one saw with AMZN in 2017 to mid 2018

Probably the best "non-textbook" book on options available; extremely informative, useful and a must-have for any serious options trader (from speculators to portfolio managers).Not for the faint-of-heart, as the material can get quite technical. But options aren't for the faint-of-heart. Highly recommended.
